Approximate: Decision days that are verifiably announced by a school but not given as an exact date. These can include “by April 1st” and “on or around December 15th”. We usually don’t add these dates unless they’re close to when a school typically releases their decisions to reduce calendar clutter.

Speculated: No verifiable proof has been submitted for this decision day for the current year, but historical release patterns point to this date being a reasonable guess. While we try to only list speculated dates that tend to have consistent patterns, we still recommend taking speculated dates with a grain of salt.
